The Culinary Medicine Interest Group

We are a student organization focused on bringing the kitchen to the clinic as a means of addressing the evolving landscape of disease prevention and management. The primary goal of our organization is to increase the number of future physicians with a foundation, understanding, and the necessary skills to deliver culturally competent, evidence-based integrated nutrition care to patients across all specialties.


We work towards this goal through: 

  • Engaging speaker events with field leaders across specialties and health professions

  • Virtual and in-person culinary and nutrition classes

  • Clinical and medical education research

  • Greater Westchester volunteer efforts

  • Clinical shadowing and patient education 

  • Community engagement
